Matka Nordic Travel Fair is coming – surely and safely!
We are able to organize the Matka fair in all conditions, whatever the COVID-19 situation in January. Currently, there are no restrictions on trade fair activities, and should there be any, we will introduce a COVID passport (the EU Digital COVID Certificate). So you can continue your Matka preparations with peace of mind.
Matka 2022 Workshop Day on Wednesday 19 January, is the largest travel trade event in the Northern Europe. You meet potential business partners in pre-scheduled 15 minutes meetings. In Meet Finland Finnish service providers meet international tour operators and in Global Workshop international suppliers meet buyers from Finland and Northern Europe, as well as from all over the world.
All participants are subject to pre-registration and validation.

The physical Matka 2022 Workshop Day will be held on Wednesday 19 January 2022 at 9:00 - 17:30 (Finnish time; UTC +2) in Messukeskus, Helsinki. There will be 5 minutes break between the meetings and also lunch & afternoon coffee breaks. For detailed schedule, please click to 'Programme' tab. Meeting calendars will be opened on 1 December 2021.
Participant must have a name badge - which is also the ticket - when coming to the event on 19 January 2022.
On exhibition days 20-23 January, suppliers need exhibitor passes.
Buyers, media and event partners have free access also to the fair with their Matka Workshop Day name badge.
You have an opportunity to continue physical meetings also on Thursday 21 January and on Friday 22 January at Matka fair. Meetings on Thursday and Friday will be held on exhibitors' stands in the fair halls. When registering, you will choose on which days you are available for meetings. It is possible to block slots in your calendar if you are available only part of the day.
Fair opening hours: Thursday 20 January, 9:00 - 18:00 hours. On Friday 21 - Sunday 23 January: 10:00 - 18:00 hours.
The digital Matka 2022 Workshop Day will be held on Wednesday 26 January 2022 at 9:00 - 11:00 and 14:00 - 16:00 (Finnish time; UTC +2).
Technical requirements for video conferencing:
A desktop or laptop computer with camera and microphone,
high-speed internet connection and
latest version of Chrome or MS Edge browser.
In Matka 2022 Workshop Day you have the opportunity to introduce your company in 15 minutes one-on-one meetings / video conferences. Meetings can be requested both ways: suppliers from buyers, media, or event partner, and vice versa. It's in the power of the person to whom meeting is suggested, to accept or decline a request.
Cost of Supplier participation in Matka 2022 Workshop Day:
Global Workshop: 1,490 euro + VAT
Meet Finland: 2,060 euro + VAT
Participation includes a physical and virtual table, two sales representatives, one company profile, two person and product profiles, two calendars (can be combined, if needed), use of meeting booking tool and supplier report package, i.e. who visited your profile and their actions there.

Buyer participation is for tour operators, travel agents, OTAs and distribution channels who are looking for new products and destinations, and are involved in initiating or authorizing purchasing decisions on travel-related products and services. They can register as Buyers free of charge. Travel costs and stay in Helsinki are on participant's own expense, unless participating a hosted buyer programme which is managed by Visit Finland and Finnair and 'by invitation only'. All registrations are subject to validation.
